12A Senior Art Project
Composite Drawing of Raphael’s “The School of Athens”

Twenty-four Veritas seniors were each given an 8 x 8” copied section of Raphael’s painting, “The School of Athens,” which they divided on the paper into a grid. They doubled the scale of that grid onto 16 x 16” charcoal paper and copied as accurately as possible. Finally, all the pieces were compiled in order to create a unified reproduction of the original painting.
